Lana Assaf

Lana is a Principal – Assessments and Approvals in JBS&G’s Sydney office. Lana has over 19 years’ industry experience and has worked on major projects for rail, renewables, roads, ports and developments. Lana has worked on State Significant Development renewable energy projects for Genex Power Ltd and UPC Renewables as their environmental planning adviser and project manager. Lana was the National Safety and Environment Manager for Infigen Energy, working on approvals in the planning/design, construction and operation phases for solar and wind farms. Lana is a Lead Environment Auditor, Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) and an Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA) Accredited Professional and Verifier.

 

Lana previously worked for RailCorp (Sydney Trains), as an Environment Manager and was one of the approved RailCorp Assessors for environmental planning approvals, delivering planning approval documents for major transport infrastructure projects. Lana was embedded into the Sydney Metro Northwest Integrated Management Team located on site in Kellyville for 1.5 years. Her key experience includes the management of multidisciplinary teams to prepare environmental impact assessments in support of planning applications, such as the Transport Access Program and More Trains More Services. In previous roles Lana was Seconded to the ARTC Inland Rail Program for nine months, providing sustainability advice in 2019 and continued to provide advice across the whole Program in 2020.  Lana also previously worked for CPB Contractors as part of the Continuum Alliance working on the New Intercity Fleet Blue Mountains Route Clearance Project Early Works Environmental Approvals.
