Richard Fassbender

Richard Fassbender provides specialist support in the design and implementation of groundwater remediation systems and environmental chemistry. Richard has over 25 years’ experience in the field of environmental chemistry within industry and as a consultant. He was involved in the design, build and operation of large scale wastewater treatment systems at both existing and new manufacturing operations on green field sites in the 1990's in both Australia and Ireland. 

Richard has applied his extensive knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment processes and environmental chemistry to the formulation of practical solutions for the remediation of surface waters and groundwater. He has been responsible for the design, construction, commissioning and operation of over 40 remediation systems. These systems cover a wide range of contaminants including PFAS, petroleum hydrocarbons (both dissolved and LNAPL), chlorinated hydrocarbons, brominated hydrocarbons, heavy metals, phenols, pesticides and herbicides.
