Former Petrie Industrial Facility

JBS&G’s landfill development project team has brought together landfill, geotechnical and stormwater engineers alongside ecologists and leachate specialists to successfully remediate areas at a complex former industrial site. HGG generating areas across the site were remediated using a combination of active and passive HGG management along with perimeter interception systems and leachate treatment systems. A pragmatic and sensible approach to HGG risk assessment and management ensured the land value was recognised and facilitated public future use under sustainable and ecological development.
