Railway Workshops

JBS&G developed a remediation strategy for known long-term groundwater contamination at the Islington railway workshops. The assessment program culminated in the installation of a Permeable Reactive Barrier on the boundary of the site, as well as on-site chemical injection at the source, to effectively minimise elevated hexavalent chromium and trichloroethene concentrations.
